UP AME welcomed its applicants in its annual Applicants’ Orientation held at CAL 212 on July 5, 1 to 4 p.m.

The orientation started with welcome remarks from UP AME President Nanessa Dimaano and Vice President Tiffany San Juan.

MEMCOM Head Red Tenefrancia shared UP AME’s brief history to introduce the organization.

The applicants then introduced themselves. Mainstram anime and manga series such as “Bleach” and “Naruto” topped their favorites list. For YYH, yaoi lead at about two or three points from hentai.

The MEMCOM explanation of the application process followed, as well as the presentation of UP AME’s different committees.

ARESCOM head Triccie Obligacion was absent, but she made a video presentation to acquaint the committee with applicants.

DOCCOM head Amado Bugayong explained the committee’s secretariat role, followed by a short speech.

FINCOM head Francis Ramirez elaborated on the committee’s constitutional roles, reminding the applicants of their application fees.

PUBCOM had the same “lies, lolis, and lolicons” theme as last year, with the former PUBCOM Head San Juan doing the introductions.

LOGICOM also had a video presentation, a slideshow of its committee members’ pictures.

MEMCOM shared how they “can move mountains” as caretakers of the members and applicants of the organization.

“MARCOM loves money; if you love money, join MARCOM!” said MARCOM Officer-in-Charge Faye Velasco as the committee ended its introductions.

PROPCOM head Diego Manansala explained the committee’s duties with reference to the constitution.

The EXECOM, ACADCOM, and the unofficial MENCOM also had their share of shining moments. MEMCOM ended the orientation with some final reminders to the applicants.

The orientation marks the official start of UP AME’s application period.
