The University of the Philippines Anime Manga Enthusiasts (UP AME) is the first-ever recognized collegiate anime organization in the Philippines, and are the same minds behind Una kAME!, kAME ulit!, AME Matsuri, AME Gakuensai, AME 8th Avenue, AME no Jidai and last year's AME Track 10.

  1. Entries should be in oslo paper.
  2. Entries can be coloured, black and white, grayscale or monotone and can be of any medium. However, digitial art is not allowed. Only Anime, Manga, Games, Sentai, Comic and Jpop/Jrock characters are allowed; NO original characters.
  3. More than one character can be included in the artwork.
  4. The entry should not contain any writing except the artist’s pseudonym.
  5. Entries should be submitted in a long envelope; inclusive of a separate sheet containing the following:
    1. Name of participant
    2. Pseudonym
    3. Name/s of character/s and title of where the character/s came from (indicate under which classification, i.e. anime, games, etc.)
    4. Picture of the character
    5. Address, contact nos. (mobile, e-mail add)
    6. An envelope can contain more than one entry. However, the participants must register ALL entries submitted within their envelope; otherwise it will not be counted as a participating entry and will not be judged.
  6. Participants will be given entry numbers upon submission of artwork.
  7. Artworks will be screened according to artwork entry.
  8. All entries and registration paraphernalia should be submitted to the UP AME tambayan, Kubo #11 at the FC Tambayan Complex (behind the Faculty Center) or to any UP AME member starting July 25, 2007 up to Sept. 28 2007.
  9. Entries will be judged according to the following:
    1. Character portrayal – accuracy of the visual portrayal of the character
    2. Originality – incorporation of the artist’s own style and idea without compromising the character
    3. Creativity – use of medium and technique
    4. Balance/Harmony – use of colour scheme, coordination of elements in the artwork, clean lines and presentation
  10. Entries will be exhibited in the AME Gakuen Sai on Nov. 24, 2007. All participants are requested to be present during the event for the announcement of winners and the claiming of prizes.
  11. All submitted entries become property of UP AME and may be scanned and used by the organization for any type of publicity in the future. Artists will be credited upon publicity of their work.
  12. UP AME members, alumni and probies are not eligible for entry into the fan art contest.

*UP AME reserves the right to disqualify contestants who violate any of the rules stated here.
