The UPAME Alumni Association PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 22 July 2010 22:14

To our esteemed Alumni,

We'd like to invite you to fill out a short form that would make you part of the newly-created UPAME Alumni Association (AA), a project of the Alumni Relations and Extension Services Committee (ARESCOM) in cooperation with the Membership Committee (MEMCOM) begun in the hopes to further strengthen the bond between the Alumni and the current Members of UPAME.

Here are some details about it:

1. Not joining the AA does not mean that you are no longer considered as Alumni of UPAME. As the constitution states:

An alumnus/alumna is a graduate of the University and has been a regular member for at least one semester during his/her stay in the University, and has been recommended by MEMCOM and has been approved for an alumnus/alumna status by the EXECOM” (art. 5, sec. 3, let. e)

2. However, there will now be a distinction between ACTIVE Alumni and INACTIVE ones. Active Alumni are those who fill out the accompanying form, expressing their desire to still be connected with UPAME and its various activities, and renew this desire every year. Active Alumni will receive/be notified of things such as:

a. Alumni IDs – which, along with identifying yourself as UPAME Alumni, also carry various perks and discounts with our partner establishments. IDs can only be printed once a year (September, although we had a successful early printing last May 14, 2010)

b. Alerts and free entrance to UPAME events – You do not need to possess the Alumni ID for this, you just need to submit a completed AA form.

c. Invitation to be part of the Final Interview/Induction and to speak on different events and take part in AME-related gatherings

d. A spot and advertising privileges on the Alumni and the Merchandise pages that will be launched in the UPAME website this year

e. Invitation to the Grand Alumni Homecoming

f. “Alumni-Buddy” - another pet project of ARESCOM and MEMCOM wherein Alumni can get to know current applicants better. Details to follow.

We strongly encourage you to take part in this endeavor. For access to the forms and/or further inquiries, please send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . If your name is on the Master List of Approved Alumni, we will send you the form ASAP.

Always at your service.
