In lieu of UP AME’s fifth anniversary fair entitled AME 8th Avenue we present a new and exciting booth for all our honored guests: The Speed-Dating Booth! It is the perfect way for you to meet new people. Eventually you can make potential friends and even romantic partners in just a short amount of time. Speed-Dating is fast, fun, and easy!

Registration Fee: 20 php

Upon arrival at one of our Speed Dating, you will be checked in and given a number. We will wait until we have at least five girls and five boys and at least one extra girl or boy for each batch. Next, the host will give a quick welcome speech to let you know what to expect. Once the dating part of the evening starts, those with badge number one will start at table number one, those with badge number two at table number two and so on. Each participant will be provided with a paper and a pen and once you are delegated to your respective tables you are all required to tick either yes or no opposite your date’s names, or even take down notes.

After four minutes, we will ring a bell, the girls will stay seated and all the guys will move round one table (or the reverse, where the girls move round). This continues with a ten minute half time break until you have met everyone.

BONUS! If you join in the Speed-Dating booth for at least one session you will be given a stub or will be stamped as proof of your participation. If you collect all stubs/stamps from the Speed-Dating booth as well as the other AME 8th Avenue booths then you can get loads of freebies! Freebies can be claimed at the Prize booth.

1. You cannot make rude or lascivious comments to your partner. AME members will be making rounds to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants.

2. Try not to ask questions that are too personal to your partner.

3. It is required that you get to talk to each and every person for at least four minutes. Skipping partners is not allowed.

4. If you feel that you are being threatened or harassed in any way, please inform the nearest AME member.

5. If you fail to comply with our rules then the AME members have the right to call your participation null and void. You will be asked to leave the room immediately.
